Worked with Bike Fort Collins and the Institute for the Built Environment at Colorado State University to design the baseline activity survey instrument as well as the methods for survey administration and dissemination. The methods included the hiring of three bilingual, bi-cultural teens to administer the survey door-to-door in Poudre Valley Mobile Home Park (PVMHP). The survey was produced and administered either in English or Spanish, depending on the survey responder’s preferred language. Administrators used the paper survey for participants to read along, tablets to enter the data in real-time. In addition to the valuable base information, the surveying has provided a clearer picture of what residents perceive as incentives that could lead to residents walking and biking more frequently.
