Physical Activity Tool
The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD), Active Living by Design (ALBD), and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) worked with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the “Development and Testing of a Physical Activity Measures Checklist Tool.” The purpose of this project was to develop a tool for CDC’s grantees to use to monitor and assess progress toward achieving community conditions known to promote physical activity, as described in The Community Guide. Participated as part of an Advisory Council to provide input into the development of the tool, which will focus on four policy areas of interest: Complete Streets, Safe Routes to School, Zoning (Land Use), and Master Plans.
