Role Description

This is a remote role for an Intern. The Intern will be responsible for supporting urban planning and design projects, assisting with public outreach and engagement efforts, providing technical assistance, and conducting quantitative and qualitative research. The Intern will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals in the field and gain valuable hands-on experience in the urban planning industry.


  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree or currently enrolled in a relevant field of study

Duration: 25-30 hours/week

Pay: $25/hour and/or for school credit (master’s level preferred)

Desired term: May 2024 through September 2024

General Responsibilities:

  • Assist in research-oriented projects focused on equitable access to public spaces
  • Support the development of equity-focused initiatives and programs related to active transportation
  • Collaborate with team members on various projects and tasks as needed
