Equitable Cities is a U.S.-based urban planning, public policy, and research firm working at the intersection of transportation, health, and equity. We recenter the narrative of who moves, how people move, and where people move by conducting street-level research and collaborating with community partners and clients.
SERVICES
Equitable Cities has over 15 years of experience leading or collaborating with public agencies and non-profit groups on a number of plans, projects, programs and training on Complete Streets, equity and environmental justice, public outreach and engagement, Vision Zero, bike share, and bicycle and pedestrian master planning. We work directly with federal, state, regional, county, and municipal governments, for-profit and nonprofit organizations throughout North America. Our core services include:
Research
Equitable Cities conducts focus groups, literature reviews, and equity analyses to investigate who moves, how people move, and where people move. Our research informs our planning work.
Planning
Equitable Cities specializes in aligning racial equity principles with bicycle and pedestrian master planning, new mobility planning, and urban planning. We utilize our research findings to guide our planning efforts.
Policy
Equitable Cities works with partners, clients, and stakeholders to develop equity-based planning policies.
Multimedia
Equitable Cities creates video products for planning projects, public engagement and outreach, and workshop facilitation activities.
